Free Adhaar Update 2024: Correction Of Adhaar, Order PVC Adhaar

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has announced that updates to Proof of Identity (POI) and Proof of Address (POA) on your Aadhaar card can be done free of charge until 14 June 2024. After this date, updating your details will incur a fee of Rs 50.

How To Update Card Online Free 2024 

There are two ways to update your Aadhaar card online and offline.

Online Update

You can update your address online only if your mobile number is registered with your Aadhaar card. Visit to the UIDAI website for Aadhaar Update. Login using your Aadhaar number and a one-time password (OTP) sent to your mobile phone. Select Update Address and follow the instructions. You will need to upload scanned copies of documents as proof of your address. A list of acceptable documents can be found on the UIDAI website.

Offline Update

You can update any information on your Aadhaar card, including your address, name, or date of birth. By visiting an Aadhaar Enrolment Centre or Aadhaar Seva Kendra. You will need to fill out an Aadhaar Update or Correction Form and submit it along with original documents as proof of the information you want to update. A list of acceptable documents can be found on the UIDAI website. There may be a fee for updating your Aadhaar card offline depending on the information you are updating.

How To Order PVC Adhaar Card 

Now you can order your PVC adhaar card easily you will get your adhaar in PVC form at home. Follow these steps to order your PVC Adhaar.

  1. Visit the UIDAI website and navigate to the Order Aadhaar PVC Card section.

  2. Enter your 12 digit Aadhaar number, 16 digit Virtual ID or 28 digit enrollment ID.

  3. If your mobile number is registered with UIDAI an OTP will be sent to your phone for verification. If not, you can choose to enter a non-registered mobile number.

  4. After verification, select the Order Aadhaar PVC card option.

  5. Make a payment of Rs. 50 plus any applicable taxes using debit or credit card, net banking, or UPI.

  6. Review your details and submit the request. You will receive a Service Request Number to track the order’s status.
