The Centre has extended the deadline for updating Aadhaar details for free till 14 June 2024. Earlier the deadline was March 14 but the Unique Identification Authority of India UIDAI on Tuesday extended the free online document upload facility till 14 June.

Here We Have New Rules And Fee For Adhaar Update 2024

There are actually two key updates about Aadhaar updation implemented by UIDAI:

  • Free Update Deadline Extended: Previously, the deadline to update your Aadhaar documents online for free was March 14, 2024. However, UIDAI extended this deadline to June 14, 2024. Steps By Step Process To Update Adhaar 2024

There are two ways to update your Aadhaar: online and offline. Here’s a step-by-step process for both methods:

Online Aadhaar Update:

Offline Aadhaar Update:

  1. Locate an Enrolment Center: Find a Permanent Enrollment Centre (PEC) near you. You can search for centers on the UIDAI website.
  2. Fill Update Form: Visit the PEC and obtain an Aadhaar update form. Fill out the form mentioning the specific information you want to update and your current mobile number.
  3. Submit Documents: Submit the completed form along with original and self-attested copies of supporting documents as proof of the update you requested.
  4. Biometric Verification: The PEC operator will capture your fingerprints and scan your iris (optional) for biometric verification.
  5. Acknowledge Receipt: You’ll receive an acknowledgement receipt with an Enrollment ID (EID) to track the update status.

Important Points:

  • Make sure your mobile number is registered with your Aadhaar for online updates. You can’t update your mobile number online, so visit a PEC for that.
